It is missing some effects, reuses most of the music and SFX for the original series that were later improved for the End of Evangelion movie. It is considered a "beta preview" and an obsolete movie, however it does have some unique shots and cell animations not present anywhere else. So this is the only choice you have for completing your classic Eva collection in high definition.
However, the blacks are crushed on this scan so it is not perfect. Death true 2 is remarkably much softer than Death, for this reason and the missing Asuka scenes, I prefer the original Death myself. This was a low priority project for me, but due to the Pandemics, I got the free time to finish it up.
