The author calls bidding at the last minute sniping. By last minute I mean as close to the end of the auction as you can get. There is so much that I learned from reading ebay for dummies. Turns out eBay is so simple and cheap that I didn't need this book complicating things at all.
This book is out of date, which I don't blame the book for since I bought it at a used bookstore. Change is perpetual. That being said, this book is what got me started on ebay. It's incredibly easy to understand henceforth "For Dummies".
Even the most technically handicapped person should get along fine. My only gripe is that Collier is sometimes a bit repetitive, but dummies need repetition Anyone who is the least bit interested in eBay--be it in buying or selling--should start here.

This book has so much valuable information about eBay that checking it out of a library would be a waste of time -- it has to be bought.
Because if you just tried to take notes on the most important information, you would wind up writing the book all over again. This book has virtually everything you need to become a member of eBay, how to buy and sell on it, how to do research, and how to handle the most common problems. I have not seen another book with this many facts and figures, or as much advice and practical knowledge as this one.
There is even a website for updates and even more tips on the ins and outs of eBay. It's that good. This book is easy to understand and answers questions you have or will have eventually. I've been hesitant to start selling on eBay because it's seems a little intimidating.
